2 - 8' Phenix Rod Blanks

Just picked up 2 Phenix rod blanks from a customer today to build for him. There are going to be split grip conventional rods, that will be identical in design. I am so excited to start them, I will be sharing my progress on the forum with you guys so you can see what I am doing.
Wiseguy has got me beat on skill but he has pushed me to step up my game. Should be a great set of rods at the end of this build. I hope it passes the Wiseguy eye for detail

Really though thanks for all you rod post wiseguy, I am striving to match your skill now.

I look forward to your updates Jeff. One thing for sure is Wiseguy is a hard act to follow when it comes to making fishing rods.

OK finished up last repairs on my table time to start the custom rods I am sure they will be sweet. Thanks that makes me feel better.

OK sorry I have not posted here since I started it, but both rods are done. Here are few pictures as I started and when I finished. The other rod is still drying once it is done I will post pictures of it also.

Jeff those are nice blanks and you did a good job building them! I'm sure the customer will be happy fishing those bad boys.
