Trout fishing with my boy

So I took my boy over to the little city park lake to give it a try for some trout. Started off drop shot worm tell my boy got snagged and lost it. Tried on a gold/red spoon style spoon and 30 mins later well I was on phone he had 2 stocker size trout on the stringer.

The best part is the he threw the line out and reeled them in on his own. I dehooked them and put them on the stringer.
Not to bad to spend couple of hours and catching fish when you didn't expect to get anything

That's guys, aww man was he so stroked on it. I seen no one else on the lake with any fish that made it better. It was pretty funny cause was burning that little spoon back in like it was a surface iron

It is an awesome feeling watching your kids get on some fish, this summer we'll be doing some twilight trips

I remember those days. Enjoy every minute of it cause before you know it.....girls will come along. I have to beg my 22y/o to come fishing with me. They grow up fast. Have fun with him while you can.
