Welcome to the site glad you found us. I have been dropshotting now for a while still one of the best ways for fishing for me. There are all kids of worms and baits out there for dropshotting. You just need to find what your overconfidence bait is.
Well on the forum we have our Tackle Haven for this month you get free shipping with $20 or more of bait orders. Here is what we have for dropshotting, let me know if you are interested. 3" Dropshot worms, 3" worms (like trout worms) 3" torpedooes (like senko type baits) 4" slugs, and 4" Bloodworms (my favorite type)

If you like I have a pack of 25 3" Dropshot worms that I will be posting on ebay for sale. The are Purple Passion with silver flake and flavor is Garlic. I will list the set on ebay for $6.25 that is $0.25 each. But the Tackle Haven price and your price is $3.28 not including shipping. If you are interested let me know I will be listing these up on ebay by Wednesday at the latest.
Any other question please ask also so you know at the Tackle Haven you make your own baits, you pick the colors, the flake, and the flavor, and we pour it. Thumbs Up

Hey Aqua,
I'm not getting this?

How are you drop shotting this? Do you have a short leader to the t-rigged white gulp, or you just T-rig the gulp bait directly off the main line? What Gulp? Do you mean the pearl white mullets? If you have a pic or drawing of your setup, I'd appreciate it. study

You can drop shot almost any plastic bait. The most common dropshotted baits are 4-6" worms. Nose-hooking is the most common hooking method. I now am very fond of texposed hooking with a #4 EWG off set hook. I like either a 4" straight tail Roboworm, or a 4" Flutter Craft worm. Light line is very important! 4-6 lb test.

Of course all of this pertains to FW Bass. Dropshot is also very effective in bays. Of course, weights, hooks, baits and line-size can all be beefed up. Flukes are my favorite in the bays.

All depends what you're fishin' for.

I haven't really drop shotted for Freshwater bass yet, but for trout, I like anything that floats, gives it a little more action for straight up and down, or on a long cast. The Mouse tails/Ball and chain style worms, tubes, Sierra Slammer Swimbaits, or straight worms on a hook similar to the Owner Mosquito hooks are my favorite. The drop shot weight is plenty, and if the bait floats, the lightwire hook will keep it up enough that it won't mess with the action on it.

With Bass, I'd imagine you can get away with just about any plastic, smaller worms, or full sized fished whacky style seem to be favorites, with tubes and small swimbaits, jerk baits, etc as long as you have an idea how to fish them.

The trick to catching big bass while using the drop shot rig is to use creature, lizard, or craw plastics. I know you usually fish the drop shot finesse with roboworms, but trust me this works great! I use 8-10 pound fluorocarbon.
