I like to cast out let it fall down to the bottom and reel up your slack and just lightly bounce the tip of your rod. This gets the tail moving really nice, if that does not do it you can bounce it off the bottom then let it fall repeat until line is back in. Or also in the harbor I will simple drap it along the bottom as I am kicking through the water. As it moves over the bottom it kicks up sedament, and it bumps and kicks around. I have done well with all three methods. GOOD LUCK Cool

Instead of a Palomar, why not use a small Rapala or Kreh Loop knot?  Seems like the Palomar binds the rig together. The rings in a jika rig give it free movement.  Also, really doesn't cost much to make a setup.  Probably have most of what's needed -  EWGs and some drop shot weights. Grab some appropriate sized split rings next time at the store and you have your own jika rigs.

ive used something like this before, its nice i used it in the harbor, i just tie a knot instead of using a ring like has. very nice.

Gave this rig a try today in the harbor and I'm sold!

I'm impressed with how weedless and snagproof this rig is. I was able to bounce it and yank it through rocky structure with ease.

I'm usually a swimmie or DS guy, but I think I'll be bouncing the Jika around more often! Thanks for the tip!

Ya Tony try them i am sure you will like them. They would even work with your flukes very well. And you can very simple make them yourself.

I tried it out this past weekend and I liked it ... if you can DS successfully then you can Jika rig too!
I was with Jason this past Sunday and I can testify that Jason repeatedly SLAMMED legals on this rig.

I am sold and am currently adding it to my arsenal.

thanx for the tip

Dan
