2weeks ago i found a little time to hit up the local lake with my proto-type bait again, first 30 mins I had 2 small ones on, one came unbutton at the shore and landed the other, was 14" so i didnt care for any pics as I already took enough with the dinks lol.
the next 30 mins went silent, so I went back to the car and hit up my next spot. Quietly got to my 2nd spot and threw out my first cast, bait hit the water with a nice splash and i let the ripples blend into the water before i started my retrieve, half way in i stop the bait and twitched it a few times to create a little disturbance, pause it again and a few seconds later a few more twitch and pause, then all of a sudden Booom! a big nasty blow up, and next thing i know my line was peeling off, she gave a good minute or two fight before I got her in.
Not a super big one but she fought hard, a few ounce shy of 5lbs
