Netting Material Needed

Off topic but with all the resourceful members on here, I figured someone might be able to help.

I am rebuilding an old pop-a-shot game (like the ones they have at chuck e cheese) for the middle school that I teach at to use for carnivals and lunch activities. I picked up the electronic backboard and hoops for cheap at a yard sale, but I need to make the base and ball return.

I have the base mapped out and am going to use 2inch pvc for the skeleton. What I don't have is some sort of netting material to use for the retaining system and ball return.

Does anyone know where I can get some cheap net like material. 1 inch squares would be perfect, and I would need continuous pieces like 3ft by 8ft.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I am sure I wont be the only one but start on Craigslist you can find anything on there. I know I had some in the past when I made a ball catch for my kid for pitching into. If I still have it it's yours, but the trick is finding it. I will let you know.

No problem. I found out when I was looking for some silicone netting to make a lid for my aquarium. They have all types of netting.

When businesses pigeon proof they use large strips of netting. May be the same source that Lolly is talking about.

For cheap netting I would go over to Harbor Freight and pick up a couple truck bed cargo nets and stretch or cut them to fit my needs, but give these sites a try and see if they have anything that will work... search net, netting or cargo net.
