3/15 Wall Banging Session

Fished the wall friday evening/night.  My go to guys could not make it, so I invited wiseguy.  He agreed to come even though he just got back from a fresh water session.  It was nice meeting and fishing with you!

We were on the water by 630pm.  Slowly made our way to the wall as it was still blowing.  The wind did make for a nice drift, occasionally kicking the TM.  Most fish was caught right up against the rocks/kelp.

Ended the night around 12 with roughly 30 bass in the 1-2lb range with a couple bigger models.  Wiseguy caught most of them as I was struggling to get them to bite!!

Great work guys and great looking fish , the second picture looks like you snagged a floater , you sure that fish was alive lol

I believe that fish got its ass whooped by a massive hook set. Launched that sucker out of the kelp and across the skiff. Might have been a over kill but I am working on a better hook set.

Yeah that's the one that went for a roller coaster ride Mark! That hook set was insane!  

Go big or go home. That's the way the do it on bassmasters

new bait I picked up from Jimmy's Tackle Long Beach.  They are his new lead heads "Mohawk" with his "Sea Cobra" swimbaits. Check them out. Very nice baits and lead heads.

Nice swimbaits.... Yellowrock and I saw those at their booth at the FHS. They looked good and they told me the texture on the swimbait is to keep the scent that you put on longer. But didn't pick any up cause I spent more than I should have on swimbaits prior to getting to their booth. I wish I would've hit that booth earlier. I guess a trip there is due after a LAB session    

How much were the swimbaits and size?

All sizes, forgot what I paid, but it was a steal!
