NPH Evening Session, GULP Sandworm! 5/14/2014

Hello Everyone...

Hope all is well...here is quick report for 5-14 evening session, Sir Mix Alot joined and a buddy who was in a kayak.....started it off slow but ended the day with 4 sandies, 2 lost and lots of strikes....here are the pics of the 3, 4th was a dink....

AO: Newport Harbor
Time In 530PM
Time Out 9pm
Water Temp: High 67 Low 62
Temp: HOT
Setup: Shimano 6-6 Rod on 2500 Sienna on Ande 6lbs pink line, 4 mosquito hook with split shot
bait: Gulp BloodSandworm 6inch

Think the 3rd one was the biggest but first one was a good size too all C & R

Those are spotted bay bass.........good eating fish

my bad spottted bay bass....

and can you believe each time i had fish on my stupid video was off and then i didnt wanna risk reaching to turn it on and bam their goes the fish u know....i know lame right hahah...next ones for sure....

Thanks GT    and really, i cant see myself eating a spotted bay bass....plus i dont like fish, wife loves fish though....every time i show her my catches she goes but no halis lol

thanks bro, yeah it was good session...needed it...just got back from Mexico...so it had been like 3 weeks i had fished not a bad way to get back on it....  

My wife WILL NOT let me cook fish in "The House"........so I will smoke them out on the patio.........hmmmmmmmmm......spotties and beer

I hear that, pops never liked fish...mom loved it and when she would cook my dad would sit outside cuz he hated the smell lol lol....but yeah ill have to tell the wifey theyre good eating as well....

how would you cook them....

Hitting port of LB and port of LA tomorrow on my neighbors boat. Hope to catch some toad spotties on the fools and mabye a legal halibut. We will see how it goes. Maybe a trip to the deep for some huge sandies or rock fish, we will see. Hopefully a good report to come....

Thank you sir! and yes it was an awesome night...the water was real calm which made it that much better
