Hi all Bill here I would like to start a chapter up here in norcal for a float only bass tournaments with float tubes only. If you anywhere up in northern California please use this forum to pm me with your info so I can start getting stuff going. Thanks Bill

I hope when you say the delta, you mean some of the sloughs further towards clifton court and not say, franks tract or discovery bay. When current/wind rips there , it's barely fit for small bass boats let alone tubers. Let's not even start with all the tournaments/bass boat traffic over there too.
If anything, start with the smaller ebmud pay to play lakes like shadowcliffs, del valle and lafayette and maybe even coyote. A lot of lakes are doing inspections for the quagga so as tubers, we actually get scrutinized a bit more. If you get more players, I say berryessa, solano and clear lake. The wild card will be sonoma due to issues of low water currently (but seriously, which lake doesn't have it this year?). best of luck and keep us posted

Kin, thanks for the input that help. Yes you right about those spots. I was thinking middle river or mildred island to start. Just because of the inspec. Permits to fish etc. Etc. But I am open to what you guy's want. I check out Lafayette resivor. It would cost $22 per person to fish there. Please keep coming with the ideas

That's the main issue with the local lakes, most are pay to play. The better ones are worth it, mainly shadow cliffs (fish arroyo del Valle In the back) and del Valle. If you want free, clear lake, Sonoma and the delta areas will be your best bet.
