New float tuber from Los Angeles area.

Hi Everyone. Great site.

Just got a Fish Cat float tube and I'm looking forward to leaving the shore. Only took it out once at the Pudd so far.

I am mainly into fishing for LMB at local lakes but I am down for just about any type of fishing. I grew up fly fishing for trout in the sierras. I have only been gear fishing for LMB for about a year. Looking forward to getting some tips on technique and locations from the experienced folks here!

Welcome Dondraper so glad you found us you are in the right place. There are some really great people here willing to share. I will say this have you tried Santa Fe Dam, in Irwindale nice little lake, for float tubing. I really do like Puddingstone, but this is a great place to fish also, maybe we will see you out there sooner then later.

I have been to SFD, I really like that lake too and its pretty close to my house. I haven't float tubed there yet but it is certainly at the top of my list. Really want to get out and fish around the island.

welcome to the tube life, and if u love fishing for LMB you will go insane fishing for spotties, calicos, and sand bass. at the harbors man. they are not bigger but much stronger and put up amazing fights.
