Im dan and I have built furniture and been a general contractor for 20 years. I'd say I would build stuff but that would get in the way of fishing. But, if you need help on how to get your project done or where to get anything home related, that I can do.

I am Thom and I work in medical facilities. When I started this job it was more of a management position. But we have merged with a huge player in the medical field and now I am a hands on person. I am the go to guy for anything a facility might need in terms of repair, supplies, vendor management, project organization, moves and new construction. I currently handle 4 centers on my own but I can see this will change. I frequently assist other engineers at other facilities in So Cal with the above mentioned areas. I like my job. Glad to have one. I also owned and operated my own detail and fleet washing company. I still do this kind of work on the sides. I can assist you with anything auto detail or residential cleaning you might have. From paint restoration to residential carpet cleaning and beyond. I also hold a commercial license and have driven commercial vehicles for many years.

Dano, I have to float a wall in a room that had wall paper on sheet rock but now the wall paper is torn off and I have a wall with lots of paper tear trailers - some very small. Do I need to remove all of these or can I just float compound over it and build it up to hide?

Thanks for listening. Very Happy

I am the Inorganics Supervisor for a small analytical company. So basically i play with VERY expansive toys that i don't pay for,LOL and if i break them someone else pays to fix them hahahahaha.

OK, but seriously my company does water testing for most of the IE and beyond. We even get samples form Git-Mo. Basically i am a senior Chemist supervising entry level guys. We don't set up any regulations, or enforce any type of violations. We simply report our findings to the client and they have to report those to the state and the EPA set up most of the guidelines and limits.

Long story short they give us a glass of water, we put it in a black box and tell them whats in it. Very Happy Very Happy

We also do a bunch of other types of testing but that is the bulk of our work.

I have worked in an auto-shop and worked for Kragen auto for a long time so i know about parts and tools and all that stuff. I do a little of everything at home, including fixing tools i buy at swap meets, make tackle, fix small boat motors and the list goes on, and on and on.

Hit the wall with a coat of primer then skim it with a very light coat of topping. Give it a light sand after it is completly dry and shoot texture if that is the look you are going for. Prime and paint now and it will be good as new.

Primer? Ok I can see that. Save mud that way? I'll give it a go. Thanks buddy!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Primer blocks the moisture from coming thru the mud on both sides. Remember, with topping, less is enough!!
