Last year I had come across one of the forum sponsors, and the bait they make. It was a very highly regarded bait among the members, a Senko style soft bait with a tail that tapered down to a point.

Stepping up my knowledge of soft baits this year, and wanted some California home grown garage soft baits in my wallet....

Well I will be darned that's it, thanks! Any recommendations on a color good for really clear water? The pond I will be using 'em at gets around five feet visibility in spring. Also, what size EWG is recommended for it, I can't see any size reference on the site?

I drop shot the original size Hawg Seeker on a [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Octopus style hook at Lake Perris which can be pretty clear at times.
Watermelon Seed and Lil Mac have both worked at times.

Thanks Jerdon! Figured watermelon would be a good start as well. I will have to try the drop shot, sounds solid so thanks for the advice.

Nice, thanks fellas, and for the advice Misfit. Over the years I have gained a lot of confidence in various baits, but soft baits I always stumble with for some reason. This seems like a bait that will work well out here. That box is lookin' good!
