Does anyone know where I can get these "old school" vinyl jig/spinnerbait skirts? I think on jigs, these skirts are much better than the rubber and silicone that are used currently. I've caught so many nice bass on jigs dressed with these in brown, black, purple and blue/black. I have some, but would sure like to find more. I don't know why they ever became unpopular. They were killer! Had so much action, especially when put on reversed.

I don't know where to find them Komori.

Maybe the manufacturers found rubber and silicone cheaper to produce.
Vinyl lasts a long time and rubber dies in the heat.

Maybe someone else has a supplier.

Yes I did check! Kind of pricey. And they don't have any of the dark colors I wanted. Nice spinnerbait colors though..

Go to a hardware type store and buy survey's marking tape or flagging tape, it comes in many colors and in around 100' rolls and is about 1 14" wide and costs around $1.25 per roll or if you want thicker strips check out kids inflatable swimming tubes at a Dollar store.  I make the skirts for popper flies, I cut the tape 4" long and I used to slit it using a steel rule and a box cutter but I have now made a slitter using China made double edge razor blades I buy on EBay. I space the blades apart with washers and 3/16" stove bolts and nuts, the slitter I made is as wide as the tape I'm using and the blades are spaced about 1/16" apart so when I pull a piece marking tape across the slitter it will make 2 skirts when you cut the slit tape in half.

These are some skirts I made from marking tape, a person can custom make skirts to any size needed.
