Last year there were some of you that asked about the tag I used to display my tournament code. This is a pic of that tag.
I didn't take the tag off after the tournament so I could test the durability of it. It is still on my apron. I would venture to say it holds up extremely well. It is also easy to make.

This is a view of it on the apron. I also have a tournament board attached to the cross bar. I ended up really liking this a lot. I simply drilled holes and attached with blind rivets. Makes it easy to hold, measure, display code while photographing your catch.

Cut a piece of duct tape and secure it with sticky side up. Secure ends with a tape tab or it is difficult to line up tape.

Start at one end and stick the two pieces together.

Trim off the ends. Use a permanent marker to put the code on the tag. Just remember to take one with you so you can write the code on it as you won't get the code till tournament time! Don't use a paint pen as it will crack and flake off of the tag. At this point you can pretty much use the tag any way you want.

I attached mine to the apron with staples. Staple as you would to a cork board (straight thru). I placed a piece of cardboard under mine. Then turn it over and turn the ends of the staples down and in. This one was done last year and is holding up well. No sharp points at all.

Another suggestion is to put twine, rope, Velcro or whatever onto the tape when constructing the tag. That way you can tie it on or make a hanging tag out of it. You can even tie it to your wrist.

Good luck, I hope everyone catches lots of fish!
