First of all I would like to apologize for my tardiness.

Wild Strawberry Lodge, WSL, Sitka Alaska. We fly out of SEATAC on Alaskan , who da thought, 0945, arrived 2 hours later. Note runway built on landfill.  A short 5 min. drive thru town to Eliason Harbor to WSL. This place is a stones throw from the harbor. Checked in, got fitted for rain gear and signed docs. Had dinner at a pub in town, fish tacos and a bottle of cold Pacifico, then some shopping, back to WSL. Note sun never went down.

0400, dawned rain gear, ate breakfast, walk to the boat, 0530 underway. 32' Almar, all aluminum, twin 250 Yamaha's. Captain John, owner of WSL, had only one speed, full throttle. Deckhand Blain, young kid from Michigan, watched over us.

Weather, 50's, partly cloudy, winds 5-10 knots, swells 7-10 foot. Have u ever ridden up a river on a jet boat? Well every time we moved u had that experience, some of the swells would literally stop the boat in its tracks. Needless to say u had a workout by the end of the day ( 10 hours ).

2 Kings, 1 Halibut (limit for June) 2 Silvers, rock fish.

Day two, windy, 30-40 knot winds, sunny. 54 degrees. Note still rock'n from fist day.........

2 Kings, 1 Halibut, rock fish

It was the best two days I've spent in a long time, fish'n with my Best Friend Thomas.

Thanks guys..........I really appreciate So Cal salt........boats r BIGGER, the peps r usually cool and theirs way more fish here, believe it or not. Alaska has limits now due to mostly over fishing. Long liners and netters r everywhere up there, cutting the number s of fish to be taken. July 1st, only 1 King per day. Along with only 1 Halibut, makes for an expensive trip. I don't think I'll be going up anytime soon. Don't take that as a negative, go, have a great time and enjoy Alaska. I did..............GT
