Sat 12-9-2017,
HH at the PCH Bridge from 0600 hrs until 1200 hrs,

I had the honor of sharing this session with my friend and fellow Veteran ... GT.  salute
Here is GT holding his NS; a Barracuda, landed on the FT. Congrat's GT!  Thumbs Up
GT's fish count was up in the 20's today. Great numbers GT!

Air: varied thru out the session,  45 - 70 deg
Water: varied thru out the session, 55 - 60 deg
Wind:  warm Santa Ana winds, 3 - 5 mph ENE
Water clarity: clear.
Tidal Coefficient: 57 an average value in the morning.
Tidal Conditions: 0600 hrs 3.17', 0700 hrs 2.8', 0812 hrs LT 2.6', 0900 hrs 2.7', 1000 hrs 3.0', 1100 hrs 3.5' 1200 hrs 3.9'.
Open Water Swell: WNW
Sun Rise: 0645 hrs. Gray light: 0550 hrs.
Sun Set: 1643 hrs. Shorter and shorter days.
Moon Phase: Last Quarter.
Surf:  1' - 2', Swell: 1.0', Sec's Between Sets: 16.
iSolunar Prediction: 1-fish and poor.  Major Period: 0519 hrs until 0649 hrs.
Tackle Used: 1/4oz Sardine Green/Silver and Glow Green/Silver HUB

Distance kicked: 1.45 miles.
Calories burnt: 568 if I had been walking and not kicking with fins.

My fish count this morning: 32-fish, 4-species including "the trifecta of Bass", + another Octopus.

It released it's self once I had it on my plastic lap tray. BIG mistake.
It's suckers were in control and it was traveling towards me, so I grabbed it; by one of it's eight legs, with my pliers ... breaking it's suction from my board and tossed it towards the front of my lap tray,
where it decided to slither off the front of the tray and back into it's home suds.

That's two octopus in two weeks and I really don't know how the hooks are coming loose
unless they are smart enough to pull out the hooks themselves.

I'll tell ya one thing ... it was a brand new; I just tied it on, HUB and it ripped it to shreds and completely off the Owner weighted hook. affraid

It had to have been one of the best days on the water for me personally,

1-22" Cuda

2- Sand Bass

19- Spotties

All fish on Hookup Baits, sardine, red crab, chovy, and gold/orange.
