Yeah, I will try to be there.

Which tide station are you looking at? I'm showing Los Patos has low tide an hour later at 8:43 on Sunday. Not that it matters all that much in this case.

I'll be at HH but I'll be launching at the boat ramp ($12) and heading toward Los Patos Highway bridge.

Tides are perfect this Sun for a kick to the bridge.

It's nice to ride the outgoing tide towards the bridge, but I stay well away from the bridge itself until the tide changes. However, once it does, you can push into the current from the north side of the bridge and drift with the current into the harbor and then circle around in the shallows and do it again. Works the same on the south side.

Just remember the bridge is the end of the road. If you get there and the tide is still going out, depending on how strong it is, you could be stuck until it changes.

Tomorrow's tidal coefficient isn't bad, but I've learned the hard way not to mess with the tides in that channel.

As always, your mileage may vary.

Ken I plan to have feet in the suds and launch no later than 0530 hrs.
If I happen to get there a bit earlier ... then I'll launch a bit earlier. lol

I hope to arrive at the boat launch ramp between 0500 and 0510 hrs.
Any one can join .... you can park out side; of the $12 paid parking, in the free public parking and walk in to the boat launch ramp.

I've fished all of my life, but there's always something I need to learn - especially when it comes to tubing the harbor (because this is new to me), so I appreciate everyone's input. Not only has the info put me on fish, but more importantly it's kept me safe and coming back for more. Isn't that what the forum is for? my 1 cent. keep the change
