?Question? I heard earlier from someone that they have not been out in there tube yet and they would like to see a day for newbies.

Are you a newbie would you be interested in getting together for an education session.  A place to learn from those that have been tubing for years.  And a place to make mistakes with out be made fun of.  What do you all think?

I'm over 4 decades in. It would be my absolute pleasure to mentor any new or first-timers to tubing.

Love this idea.

Let me know, I'm there. I would recommend still water first - a local lake or pond.

Maybe it could be a regular once a month deal that has it's own dedicated thread showing pictures from each session. First weekend of the month or something like that. That way anyone who visits the forum will see that anytime they're ready to start, they're never more than a few weeks away from an available mentoring session.

We're always doing invites for each other, easy enough to do a regular dedicated newbs invite.

Maybe even some of the drinking water guys will sponsor some sessions.

And a place to make mistakes with out be made fun of. Present company excluded, of course. I know if I end up going for a swim, y'all going to laugh your asses off (as you should). Razz

That is a cool idea Bob lets talk this up, guys. I think we would need a few people that would be dedicated to taking people out as I know I could not do this all the time but if we had a few dedicated it would make it more possible.

I think if we started a thread for those Newbies to feel free and post up for a lesson that would be a good start. This what myself and I know you Bob, and others already do but this might give those newbies more confidence in asking for support on there first trip. Lets talk this out some more.

I agree.

It could be very simple. A thread called, "Do you have a question? Looking for help?"

I was thinking we could maybe also have a thread for members to offer help in their locations. We have guys from other states that may not post all the time, but they might be willing to host a newbie for a session and could drop a post in that thread.

"Martian Bob here. If you're looking for a tubing buddy for Syrtis Major, I'm your guy."
