what area do you guys launch from on lido ?
The last several outtings to Newport on foot has not been that good, I do think the fish have moved deeper IMO. So think the fish will be holding on deep eel grass beds, moorings etc. I know of a group of moorings that always seem to hold fish but thats more in the middle of the harbor and thats only good for afew tubers. There is also a good section of beach/docks that can be fished as well as its private beach so no foot access.

Not sure of street name but as you come down Via Lido (I think) there is a kayak and sail boat launch ramp on the right. This is the normal launch site for us. Where is your launch site miller sound interesting.

Its off Island Ave and Balboa. Anywhere with in couple of streets of Island Ave. The only thing I dont like about this area is the parking. It can be tuff at times, well at night it is at least. Its been so long that I have fished in the mornings I'm not sure how it is.

So Balboa Island I have fished that spot by foot, not from a tube yet. The Lido Island spot is pretty good for parking, and is a good spot to launch. Lets see what everyone else is thinking.

Over the bridge, make a right till you hit a beach access on your right. I'll get the street name in a bit, I'm coming back from fishing PV.

via lido soud and via genoa. I see 2 spots there for kayak and sail boat launch and good beach access

We did well there last time, how's your spot fish?

I am good to go Sunday for fishing. Just give me a time and I will meet you at that point. So far the wifey has given me the green light to go.
