Originally had a Caddis navigator (navigator IV? I believe) and only bought it cause it was the only one in stock....saw the bighorn yesterday and had to have it. So much more room to store my gear and looks bigger and sturdier. Looking to see if anyone has and good things to say about this tube? Just making sure i made the right choice with this one. Also as far as making modifications to this tube do you guys have any suggestions. I dont want to do anything to the tube itself until i know for sure it will work and im not damaging anything. Looking mainly for a way of adding a rod holder for one rod that will stand it up vertically so i can still work tight areas with it in the holder....and possibly be able to live line some bait with it while throwing plastics with the other rod.

Also it didnt say what the weight max is for it? I wont be carrying a ton of stuff but wanna know how much more durable it is than my other tube. Thanks for any help guys...hoping to use it tomorrow.

Also it holds 350 lbs it roomy and lot of storage stable and it pretty good on the salt water. Now on the pole or rod holder I have a set up that hold 6 pieces 2 poles 1net my lip grabbersmy piers and a light that I use at night fishing then on the other side o have a pole holder for 1 rod. You can do so much with this bog tube it not even funny wow

Dude thanks so much. Yea im just looking to hold one rod....well make that 2. One to keep my back up rod but i bet it would come in handy to be able to put both rods in a holder for different reasons. Also it would be cool to put a net in a holder too although im thinking about buying an all rubber one that i can just clip to my tube and let it sit in the water.

Thats awesome man.....how strong is the velcro thogh.....ill probably have to secure it to the tube if i wanna live line bait on a rod stuck in it though. Thats a sweet set up though.....i gotta take care of some stuff tonight but tomorrow i will get started on it. If i need some velcro ill let you know...id be glad to pay you for it....stuff seems expensive.

can the good thing is you can always change it up so dont glue any of the parts until you make a trail run in the water cause sitting in the tube in your living room is way different than being in the water
matter of fact i use mine about 10 times now i a have not glued it at all and i dont think i am going either i change it so much from tube to tube i love it

I too have a Bighorn, and I absolutely love it. I've been up and down the Potomac River, most of the creeks feeding into it, and around the Chesapeake Bay in it. Couldn't ask for a better tube. Only wish I had a better rod holder. I have a single rod holder that straps on and holds the rod nearly horizontal.

ed500x - yours looks a really good option. How do you mount it to the tube? And what are the black pieces in the 3 right pipes? Are the components simply glued together? Or are they threaded?

I would appreciate any info you can provide. Thanks.
