Met up with BMF, his daughter and his brother on Sunday down at 69th. It was dark, and a slight off-shore wind was blowing upon arrival. The wind report was predicting 9mph winds when I checked my wind-report site on Saturday night. We all launched right around 6:00am and got out around 9:00am'ish. Tide was outgoing, and it was really moving when I made my way back across the channel from the Ballast Point side to the Yacht Club side.
My morning started off promising with two fish landed in the first 30 minutes, and one of those hard bites that folds the Hookup Baits in half over the hook. However that would be it for the day. I was throwing a HUB on one rod and my Swim Mullet on the other, landed one fish with each. One Sandy, one Spotty and that was it. The sun peeked through the clouds at times, but overall it was a bit cold and gloomy, kind of a metaphor for the fishing aspect of the day. Despite the grind, its always fun to be out there with BMF and the family!
