Since I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a couple years ago I made a pledge to try as many new fisheries as possible while I’m still able.  Today’s was Marina Del Rey.  I arrived around 6am and quickly realized launching the tube was going to be too risky since I was experiencing an “off” (my hands, arms, and torso were shaky/tremors) period.  I popped a couple more pills and drove down to Fisherman’s Village.  Once there I gathered up some tackle for live bait fishing and walked down to the dock area.  I’m sure most of you know people are allowed to fish around the live bait dock if you pay $10.  I had one rod with a lively anchovy and another rod with a swim bait/under spin.  Here’s pics of a WSB, a Hali, and a spottie.
I enjoyed the four hours of flipping lures and watching my live[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
bait rod.  Hopefully I’ll have many more days like this…
