Antique fishing gear

Just wondering who else likes looking for Antique fishing gear. My wife and I ended up in Downtown Old Orange and I found this sections.  Just cool to look over.  There were a few nice older fly rods I wish I could have pulled the trigger on maybe next time.

I still fish with some antiques. I use the old metal boxes to store fishing gear tools and backup baits and hooks.

I have an old Penn Beachmaster I use for rockfish and live lining on the 1/2 and 3/4 dayboats.

And I have a group of old Mitchell 300s. I stopped bothering with the nostalgia of the Mitchell's though.

I used to collect vintage tackle but collected way too much of it, listed it for sale and a tv and movie prop company ended up buying everything I had for filming props. If you ever up in Bishop on the way to Mammoth there a few good antique shops there and there used to be a guy that would set up in a dirt lot on the edge of town selling tools and antiques, said he did it there because the Indians don't tax him like the government lol.

My dad to this day still uses his old school abu garcia and mitchell rods and reels for trouting.

Here is an "old" FenwickRod  I have been using on and off for a while

I fish it with 4 to 6 pound test, because fiberglas feels real whippy theses days.

My grandson caught his PB bass with this set up a while back, so I intend on giving it to him at some point.

That is so cool I have 2 steel fly rods from the 1940's, I need to get a few reels to pair with them. I have somewhere an old Bamboo Fly Rod as well. I put it away in a very safe place and I cannot remember where that is
