I am just thinking out loud and need to flush it out more what do you think. A survival Fishing Kit fishing contest. We could make or purchase an approved Survival fishing kit and make it a weekend event to see who could catch the most and or the biggest fish. I am not sure how to make this work I am just thinking out loud what do you guys think?

I have not seen theses kits before, I have seen a survival knife with much of this.
Would we fish from our tubes?

I used to have a survival knife like that. And yes it would be from our tubes as well. There are some neat ideas for survival fishing items. There is another item I am looking for to share with everyone as well

I have done some through camping and a part of my gear was a fishing survival kit that I made.
My niece and twin nieces also had their fishing gear. I this particular trip, we hike on Catalina Island for four days and we stopped and fished along the coast. We caught, cooked and ate fresh fish from our kits. We were hand casting.
