Just got back from tubing Dana Point. Got there a few hours before high tide and was able to fish a solid two hours. Current was moving good but the wind is what really killed it for me. I'm sitting there trying to work some pilings and I was getting blown all over the place. Twisted Evil

Winning combo was a 4 inch big hammer (bleeding olive herring) and a 3 inch razor clam T&C swimgrub. Both smeared with hot sauce.

I'll post the pics as soon as they load to facebook. I'm stealing internet from next door so it takes a long time because the wifi connection isn't all that good haha

Nothing huge but still fun. I love spotties!

Nice. Man, you must have legs of steel to fight the current and wind.

Nice fish... I always bring along a about 15' of rope on a small snair to tie off on a dock or buoy if conditions get tough. Allows you to rest and fish area without getting blown around. Unfortunately it didn't help me catch any fish.

It's more for when I midge fish, but I always carry a rock cod weight for an anchor in case I get into a heavy wind and want to rest...I don't like the anchors with "arms" 'cause sometimes they get snagged...

I don't always have to dock to tie off on when I'm tubing Razz

Thanks for the pics...decent sized fish for the area...there's one area that holds alot of really short calico's...you'll know when you enter that zone...there's kelp just under water.

Yeah, that is Baby Beach.
