Just the heads up, the cut off time to sign up is the 14th of this month.
There is a captains meeting on the 14th at 6:30pm at Preformance Tackle and you can pay the membership fees there.

1st round is in NPH the 18th.

If you are wanting to get in on this you only have few more days.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

If anyone else is going to the captains meeting outside of Gil I'll see you there

you guys are welcome

eddie, gil said your fishing from yak, you asked about a live well. you live well is going to be different than us fishing from a tube.
your going need a 5 gal bucket, battier, pump hoses etc.
check out OBX in sunset beach, they have live wells all ready to go but its going to be couple of hundred or for about $60 you can build one your self

eddie you may want to check out this site as its all for kayaks. seems like of cool guys on here as well. I am sure this is info on bait/live wells on here

Eddie what kind of kayak do you have? I'm thinking of going that route instead of a boat.

It was a very slow and bad day. I got one keeper, 1.5lbs on my scale. I did not get it weighted due to the weather getting too bad to the point where I wouldn't have been able to make back to my launch

I seen eddie first thing in the morning when he drove by the check in but that was it. I only seen 1 team the whole time fishing. I have no idea where everyone was

Well that was an experience!!
Sign in at 5:30 and proceed to find a good launching spot. We (the Aquaholics Anonimus) paddled with the wind and return againt it. BAD MISTAKE! wind got crazy I thought I was not gonna make it; I thought about pulling where ever on the beach, tie up, walk to my truck and get my yak, but I paddle like never have and finally made it! My partner got flipped over with a massive wave at pulling out! and it rained. some tubers got strunded and walked the beach. Miller, did you make it ok? didnt see you at the weighting and prizes. All in all, I dont regreat going. it was awesome!!
we cought 3 spoties under 10` lotts of macro. Blody decks got the jack pot with a 3.? spotty. i didnt stay to see who won that turny. i`ll check on f/b later.

Hey itchybass, I didnt see you eather after signing up. how did you do? Hey you have a kayak? whats your team`s name?
next turny is Apr/22 @LAB and I might tube that one. I think is better if one kayaks and the other one tubes. I`ll fish slow and nerrow areas and he`ll cover large areas in less time. salute ...will see

Man that was rough....The wind made fishing nearly impossible. I caught several fish but they were all short (3 12" spoties, a sand bass and 4 short halis). I did hook up to what felt like a good spottie but somehow I broke it off. I called it a day around 12 because I couldn't handle the damn wind.

I do have a kayak, just picked up a hobie revolution. Didn't want to fish it because the spotties at newport are right against the docks so a tube is easier. Hopefully the weather is better for the next one because that was ridiculous.

Glad you were able to land some fish... Thumbs Up

Sorry I was not able to make it...I should have just fished instead of working the DelMar show.

Del Mar show sucked big time....I think there were more vendors in the buildings than there were customers Shocked !
