In ocean side for my dads iron man, brought the fishing pole and heading out to the harbor

Good luck. I've fished there a few times and didn't do that good....but big fish are in there.

thats my old stompin grounds...spent alot of time down there...but that was before i got back into fishing...hope you do well

I just got back today. yesterday the mackerel were jumping everywhere and hitting good but small! I only got one spotty which was yesterday on a christmas tree color 3".
And today i only got one mackerel that hit on my big hammer, and i hooked up to a decent size halibut with a war bait with that skirt thing and there was a 4" red rum color. that was it there was nothing but a lot of mackerel

Better than nothing man. Macs can be fun on light gear though....next time i go oit i might bring my trout pole to play around with them. For even more fun catch one and live line it. Ya never know what you'll get. I live lined a mac from the oceanside pier once and got spooled with 40 pound line and the drag buttoned down....sucker just kep going.
