What PFD do you use?

Hey fellas the sports authority in burbank has a manual sospender on clearance for 27.99, it was 107.99 it's blue in color, they only had one they also had 2 or 3 of the fanny pack style PFD's

Dear Cartman,

I wear a Bass Pro Anglers lifevest that I picked up off the clearance rack for about $ 20.00.

I hate wearing the thing but unfortunately here in PA it is the law on just about every piece of publically accessable water. They will fine you if you do not WEAR your vest while float tubing. I admit that the odds of getting caught are pretty low due to the large territories that the waterways patrolmen cover, but I don't need another fine so I comply with the rules.

I also do some canoeing and there you don't need to wear one, which doesn't make sense especially in moving water. I've been looking at better quality vests like those worn by kayakers and eventually I will invest in one once I find a vest that fits properly.

I have one of the mesh ones from Bass Pro, with the neoprene neck and all the pockets... seems to be pretty comfortable to me, with plenty of freedom of movement. I wear it and so far it's worked out just fine.

with the drowning that just happened at Irvine, it would (massfisher you should remember this one) behoove you to wear it, one never knows what can or will happen. Was at Irvine when a buddy of mine was out in his tube, a few hours later I see him being driven up to his car and pulling his tube out of the truck. asked what happened said bladder burst in tube, lucky I was close to the shore but it was hard since I had waders on. Just spoke to him Sunday said he called Outcast and asked how much a bladder was, they asked him how long he had the tube he said a couple of months and the guy said oh no problem let me get your address, buddy said ok but how much is a new bladder? Oh don't worry about it I'll just send you a new one, now that's what I cal customer service!

I know they wouldn't do it but I can't get the image out of my head of them over inflating like a ballon, turning upside down and all you could see would be a pair of legs floating down the river....

Good morning all. I just finished ordering the
Creek Co. ODC 420 that's on sale. I must say
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas and
hope it will arrive fairly soon. I am in Iowa
and the heat is supposed to be about 100 today
so I guess I won't be doing any bank fishing. If
my tube was here I would be sitting on a gravel
pit cool as a cuke..(see why I am so anxious to
