lake perris report 7-11-12

Hit up perris today with my lil bro nhis buddy. We got to the gate bout 620 to find kelster Waiting at a closed gate..... This is the 3rd time theyve been late to open the gate at 6. They eventually came around 635 an we hit the water by 7. The water was nice an calm for a min then it turned into a weekend trip with a bunch of boaters n skidos wakin up the water. The bass wernt biting shad like yesterday so after catching a coupple dinks on drop shot out deep we changed gears an headed to the trees. Only a few min of lookin around we found what we wanted..... TOP WATER FRENCY!!!!! Man the bass were hittin shad in the trees. Second cast on my new popper an WHAM!!! a nice 2.6 in hailed my lure sideways Then a 2.5 n then a 2.4 lb. Jus then my lil bro starts hookin up like crazy on the senko. BAM 2 lb then BAM 2.5 an again BAM a nother 2 lb.... Had a nice 3.4 mabey 4 lb bass brake me off n the trees after her jump an completley destroyed my line. Look like it was melted threw a cheese greader. Nothin on the donkey rig but between the top water an the senko I managed to pull bout 16 r so bass an lil bro got 10 r so all bout 2 lbs with a few dinks an off water by noon. im goin out tomorrow to lots 11-12 to see if I can the shad bite there.
