this suppose to be a black bass but it looks huge

I question that even being a really picture not sure what the heck it is but only him and the guy that took the pic know for sure.

How can u hold a Fish that Big with only one hand????

I agree it is tricks with the camera. I am sure it was a decent fish. But he is holding it far away from himself and I am sure there is more to it then that.

Look at the size of his fingers and the way the fish is indented around them. This indicates the fish has some heft and is pretty porportionate to the photo. Is possible is a Nile river perch as they get up to a couple hundred pounds. I will be researching this ASAP for you guys. His other hand could have a handfull of gill on the other side of the fish as even perch teeth when they get THAT FREAKING BIG could be dangerous .

Ya the classic "perspective" photo always makes them look bigger. Hmmm who around here is the master at this? Trying to remember...hmmmmmm. Kinda like the same fish from different angles approach. Easy to do on a tube eh? Just spin take a shot, spin take a shot lol.

i dont think the first pic is a pic of a nile perch as you can tell by the head the 2nd pic of river monsters is a nile perch not sure what kinda fish that is but i could be wrong

I am sure there are fish of that kind (what ever it is) that get that big. I still think it is trick photorgraphy we need to start doing more of this on our forum.

im reading where i got it from and i think its real look A Niugini Bass caught by Steven Ryan on a In-Fisherman shoot in Papua New Guinea. The set up was a Revo Toro 60, with locked down drags, 150# braided line and 300# leaders. These bad boys destroy any lure in their territory.

I'm no expert but I did do alot with photoshop and a few other editing programs in my days of being a graphic designer and I think the first pict is legit. I'm going by it's a big fish but appears to be narrow not fat so isn't a ungodly weight. Also he appears to be holding it with his elbows supported by his knee/thighs which would give him enough leverage to hold up a fish that size. All the shadows, color, reflections and the way his hand indents the fish seems accurate. And the fishes size compared to the beige pelican case on the boat seat.

Maybe it is a bit of cheating with the type of camera lense used and the distance from the camera but I still think it's a big impressive fish.

All I can say is welcome to fishing in the AMAZON guys!

And Jeff is right this forum needs more shots like that so get better at photoshop people! Get rid of all this worthless tackle we bought, dig up some old fishing photos and start photoshoping us some whoppers!
