i have had my u boat 2000 since last august and it has not been on the water yet

but the time is near and i want to outfit it on the cheap
i do not need anything fancy so what i need is advice on how to put a simple cheap and easy to mount rod holder on it
and an easy simple way to mount an inexpensive fish finder (echo 100 or p max 170) on it without spending a ton of cash also i will only need a holder for one extra rod and a net thats it i will upgrade to a better setup later on but for now things are tight but i still need
to get out on the water so it is what it

is any suggestions would be great

thanks guys

Plenty of design in the mod section of the forum for the quick fishfinder mount. Total cost should not exceed $20, unless you're trying to shove a few rod holders and stabilizing frame for the tube.

This is a rod holder that is pretty cheap and easy.
It's similar to the one in this link. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] All you have to do is place eye-bolts on the existing holes that would mount it to the wall then carabiners from those eye-bolts to your tube d-rings.

I'm also rigging up my U-2000 with 2 pole holders, a net holder, and a Humminbird 100SX, and hopefully will be finishing it tonight. Went the 1 1/2" ABS route. The FF holder seems like it will work, but want to get it on the water to confirm. Using an 8AA battery holder with "9v" hookup, which would be the cheapest way to go for power. Good luck and post a pic when you are done.
