nph tube report 3/30

got out to nph w fatboy531 & SoCalfishKiller,in the water by 6:45am.i was first to setup,so as fatboy & socal got thier gear together,i started to make a couple of casts from shore w the 3" bighammer,got a bite right off the bat but no hook up,looking like its gonna be a good day.got in the water and missed some more short bites so i decided to switch to the dropshot & smaller baits.i was the first to hook up w a nice lil chunky spottie.

Total fish count:

Bassfishing24/7: 3 spotties,2 halis(both shorts)

Fatboy531: 4 spotties

SoCalfishKiller: 1 hali (short) & unfortunately got broke off 3 times....not his day....

Sea lions were very curious today creeping up on us all morning keeping us on our toes...lol

The highlight of my morning was seeing a halibut break the surface chasing after my bait!! A first time seeing that for me!

Overall good day. The bite was killer up until 10:30. Got us wanting to go back next weekend.

Nice report! A surface breaking halibut mustve been a cool site.
