Not a tube report (Sport King 03-30-2016)

If anyone is curious about the sport boats, i took another 3/4 day trip today.. Thought the steady jig pick on firecracker yellows from last weekend would continue, but was sorely mistaken. The foul weather over the last 2 days sent fish elsewhere. Water has cooled a couple degrees as well. Boat only picked up 5 yellows today, most under 10#. Will need to watch reports closely before committing to another trip.

Sardines over the last week have been mediocre at best. The barge had Macs/dines for us today and 3 of the 5 yellows came in on Macs.

Also! Some of the smallest calicos I've seen In awhile were on the chew. I feel like I would have had a better day on my tube today.  

Sport King crew is always accommodating and I highly recommend the boat!

I think that a lot.

So I knew the fish blew off cat with the passing front... Did NOT expect them to start chewing off anacapa and SCI. The Aloha Spirit out of channel absolutely killed it with 20-30# class yellows yesterday.

yeah i saw that, Aloha is a good boat...gonna have to get it a try this spring....

We chartered is last year with 10 guys. Was roughest ride of my life and the first time being sea sick for 6 of us lol. Ridiculous swells. But we got into bluefin so no complaints.

Sooo since it failed to materialize last year...with everything said...boat trip 2016 in the making? Lol
