Use poppers early morning, senkos in the stick ups, crank baits along the dam, drop shot , FROGS, and jigs if its not real grassy

When i went last week they didnt check for barbless hooks so i didnt use them, but just be careful if they check

If you worry about barbless hooks, get yourself some octopus hooks at Walmart, and debarb. If you truly want, purchase some true circle hooks, and debarb them. Make sure not to hookset when the bite is on. Just reel in slowly and let the hook works its magic. If you want, look for the Matzuo/generic sickle hook type. Very deadly.

Yes barbless hooks are required.  It is a good idea because those fish get caught over and over again.  It keeps from tearing up their mouths. Yes, you will lose a few fish, but it is worth it.  It is a stiff fine to be caught with a barbed hook on your line.  You do not have to debarb every hook in your possession, just the ones you have tied on.  Just use the flat part of your needle nose pliers and mash them down.  DFG will test them on fabric.

Good luck!  It is not a sure thing this year.

WOOOW my dad and I went from when we woke up at 3:00am then we got there at about 4:30am. we left at about 6:10pm.

I caught 4 fish. he caught 0. I caught 3 bass 1 bluegill. it was 4 pounds. we found barrett to be a waste of money for what we caught.

quite a disappointing day for the price :'(

Indeed disappointing. Well, you can scratch one water body off your list.

This time of the year fishing gets tuff there. There is a lot of shad in the water and water level is dropping a lot and plus you add in a full moon on top of all that makes for some tuff fishing.
