Im in hollywood. So bummed dfg stopped stocking los angeles and Ventura with trout. Anybody been to piru lately.

Welcome aboard. By the way, don't refer to Fish and Game as DFG any more. Call it by its universal adopted name now as Department of Fish and Wildlife.

They stopped stocking trout there due the same reason as why they stopped stocking trout at our local city lakes as well. Any water body that drains into the main water body, containing possible salmonids from the , or historical salmon travel path, will be subjected to elimination of competitive species stocking, ie. trout/catfish.

Yeah!!! It's sucks. It'll come around soon enough. Try saltwater. Alamitos bay is pretty smooth for beginners. Not too big and can be very productive.
