Decided to break out the pontoon for the first time this spring/summer on Memorial Day. Loaded up the car and drove 35 miles to a southeast WI lake to meet some friends. My mental checklist failed me while at home because there was no air pump in the car when I started unloading at the lake. Ouch. Double ouch because I had already paid the $5.00 launch fee. Oh, well, it was for a good cause, I guess. Our Plan B was to fish from a pier at the boat ramp. We caught and released a number of bass, one skinny northern and a fat bullhead so all was not lost. A number of thunderstorms were rolling through so I didn't get any pics. Put the phone in a watertight container and forgot all about it. I'll be back there within a month - with ALL my essential equipment.

Good job on the fish and on making the trip into a winner. I'm guessing we all forget something sooner or later.
