I was able to locate the problem on a leaky bladder for my cumberland. The issue is small hook size puncture that is located less than 1/4 inch from a seam.

I have a patch repair kit but was wondering if there is a sealant that I could just dab onto the puncture hole? Since the hole is so close to a seam, I am not sure if a patch would sit correctly.

I have read in some other threads about a product called aqua seal. Does anyone know if this might do the trick, and if so where can I buy some?

Any thoughts would help as I would like to do this right the first time so I don't have to worry about it on the water.

Thanks

Toothpick and Aquaseal. Straight Aquaseal, no accelerator. Use the toothpick to put a dot in the hole. Wait a couple hours and put a ittle more over hole and Aquaseal. Let dry overnight.

You can find aqua seal at sport chalet & bass pro. I think walmart might carry it too.

I recently used aqua seal to fix my dads above ground pool. It had a hole that was about 1/8" long. Dabbed some aqua seal on there and added some duck tape for support since the water kept coming through while the glue fresh. I removed the tape once the aqua seal dried and it held up great. I did it last week and the glue is still holding up fine.

Since posting this I have become unsure about this product.  I have patched a leak in my waders three times and the water keeps coming out from under the patch.  I may peel off the E6000 and go back to Aquaseal.

Cheaper is not cheaper if it does not work!

Waders and bladders I have had luck lightly sanding or scuffing the area then giving it a light coat of GOOP then after that dries a thicker coat.

I had a pinhole from a hook at the seem of my ODC420. Used Aquaseal as stated above and it worked great. Great for waders also...

Better hurry, I think without the speed cure material I think it requires quite a few hours to set up properly. But check it out to make sure.

At my age I also have a bladder problem, however the doctor gave me some pills to take and it has not worked at all. Perhaps a small dab of aqua seal will work.

Please come back with a report on the Aqua Seal. I use Frogg Toggs but am curious on the Aqua Seal performance.

I had a 1/4"slit in the seam on my left bladder. I slathered some aquaseal on Thursday and went fishing on Saturday. No leaks at all. I'll recommend it to anyone. It's the first time in a long time that I have tubed without a leaky air bladder.
