Ok so as you all know i order an Do-It mold model Shad"9". Which is the closest production jig mold that resembles the all too popular Hammerheads we all use on our Big Hammer swimbaits. This is a review of this mold using a few different hooks and in a coulpe of different powder painted colors.
The one i got makes 1/4 and 3/8 oz jig heads. These are pretty mutch good for 3" swimbaits and pushing it for 4"ers.

This one shows a 3/8ths Hammerhead in chartreuse and another popular brand in plain lead 1/4oz, these are on the left. The ones on the right are mine straight from the mold no modifications. Top is 3/8ths bottom 1/4oz.

Here is another pics of the same. You can see that all the of these hooks are very similar to each other.

Ok this one has ALL the different hooks i have tried to pour with. Most of these are 1/4oz except for the red one is a 3/8oz head. We'll start with the red one. That one has a 5/0 Gammy 604 hook, the next one is 1/4oz with a 3/0 gammy 604, then a 1/0 635 Eagle claw salt water hook, 2/0 635 EC bronze( this is the recommended hook on the mold for both sizes, but i prefer a different one), Gammy 2/0 291 reg wire hook, finally a 2/0 Matzuo light wire hook.

These are all powder painted, the colors go like this. Watermelon w/ red flake and i put eyes on that one, just plain stick on ones, next is Copperhead (kinda like a brown with green flake), then comes Root-beer ( its like a maroon with gold flake), then yellow, Brown, Black, and a green vinyl paint(i hate these vinyl paints and will probably never use them again), i also used a red but u have seen that one in a previous pic.

Here are some of the heads on some Bighammer swimbaits, you can see that the 3/8oz is a wee bit small for the 4" bait. The 3" bleeding mackerel has a 3/8ths the other 3" have 1/4oz.

And these are the ones with eyes on them. They are just stick on ones that seem to work well.
Overall i'm super happy with the results and will be purchasing the next two sizes in the series. Its a super mold, pours REALLY easy and makes nice baits for sure. The only thing is that i would rather use a Gammy hook and the 604 fits just right with no mods. The 291 needed a little massaging, but that seem like the hook i'm gonna go with for the most part. Its strong and has a nice wide gap, and like all Gammys its uber sharp!!!
So thumbs up all the way!!!!
Now i have to review the shakey head mold i got on the same transaction.
