Perris lake trout fishing

Perris lake trout Fishing is wide open right now
2-5ft of water
plastic trout worms flies spinners depends on their mood for the day
get some before the Stripers eat them all
YES the Stripers are on the chew after the stock

another stock is slated for next week so the Toy Drive should be a good one
has anyone contacted the DFG about maybe making a special stock just for the toy drive?
maybe they would stock a few buckets just for the kids they day of the drive?

they have done it before for Kids
one time they did a Sat stock for the kids

I heard a few big Stripers were caught this week.

Well I Caught a Limit , I can tell you one thing . no one was catching a darn thing tonight and I worked for a hr to get my 5 . Trout where picky tonight !

On a side note : I ran into the guy who caught that 18lb Striper on the dock and saw all the fish porn , Also talked to a guy that had several nice Crappie in the 16-18" Range . man those are all good eats .

I went about 1pm and it was tough..i caught a few and my reel got rough so i just quit and watched people fish
One guy at the middle dock did ok but....but the trout today seems really closed mouth Like you said TOUGH
was it you in the tube by the old coast guard dock??

and Crappie?? Nice

Nope I was not on the tube today , I packed a few lures and 1 pole and walked the shore a bit . I did end up , by the dock and ended up catching all my fish there .

I should have stayed longer i would have met you...but for some reason my CI4+ starting getting rough so i quit
wonder whats up with it like a rough spot every revolution

Perris was Stocked again.....fishing is good for a few days
the Drop shot flies seem to be working again

kept a couple for Lunch

I tie my own sometimes and really like the larger gap hooks for this type fishing
the hooks hold better
the drop shot seems to work even better in a river system and many times will out fish a fly rod when nymphing
it allows much better depth control
