Not to burst your bubble, but the fish are contaminated. Read the fishing report for Silverwood in Thursdays paper. Other than that the fishing can be good at times. Strippers, LMB, trout that the strippers don't eat, cats, crappie and sunfish. If you fish Perris and Silverwood, you can purchase a yearly pass that can save you some DOLLARS. They have dock fishing, $3, boat rentals, tackle store and lots of camping spaces, some shaded. Try it out..........GT

You might look into Vail Lake. It use to be a private lake however the City of Temecula purchased it and is now from what I understand is open to the public. I know they use to have a campground there as well. The fishing is outstanding for bass. I was there about two years ago and it was great.

Lake Dixon is another lake that has good fishing from time to time. Campgrounds are nice but you can not use your float tube there. They have fishing from the banks and you can rent a boat as well.

Hey Ron071195 just an FYI Big Bear lake charges 15.00 per float tube or they will tell you can pay 50.00 for the year. I have already looked into it. Its cool if you are going to be there for a few days.
