'Evening Gents!

i too like many am new to the game all of you enjoy and i guess I looking for a few friends and some knowledge to get me started. bought my tube here recently (still in the box Rolling Eyes ) but I am an avid, yet novice fisherman. (shore and boat) I thought my first trip with the doughnut was going to be in the june lake loop this coming july but i'm getting antsy... looking at this forum I'm quite impressed with all of the knowledge the lot of you posess and share among members friends. i live in Hemet, giving me good access to many good spots, looks like lake perris will be my most frequent! thanks to all.

Hey there Fishin' Fatty, welcome to the board you are in the right place. We look forward to hearing about your maiden voyage and any question please ask. This is a very easy sport but there is a lot to know so your outings can end up being fun, and not what the Hell just happened. ha ha

Don't sweat it you will be teaching us a thing or 2 very soon. I have a question you mentioned you have a doughnut, can I ask "what kind".

Ha! same as everyone else! the cumberland. I'm building my rod rack next week, actually thats how I found you guys was looking for ideas how to build, configuration, etc. glad I did. anymore excited I'd need pampers inside my waders. bounce so technically not a doughnut. by the way i bought neoprene waders anticipating several trip to sierras, how bad am i going to suffer at perris and the bays in early summer-ish?

The water at Perris has been 65 to 70 for the past 2 months. Cloudy days keep it under 69, but after a couple a days of sun we should see 70 again. With the sun out 70 degree water is warm enough for board shorts. Neoprene is a little overkill once the sun comes out, but it is comfy warm in the mornings. and cool cloudy days.
