Local Lake After Work!

Dano and I had the itch to fish the local lake and aftework, I jumped in my small car and off I went to meet up with Dano! Our original plan was to do some Carp fishing on light line. Carp never really showed up but a few others did come out to play! Fun couple of hours with Dano! Always nice to just hang out with him! For obvious reasons, I will not post what lake this is. Please PM me if you would like to know.

Thanks guys! Ya Ed, my scale was in my car but she was a hefty bass! Felt around 5.5 to 6 pounds. Looks like a late spawning female or just a bass that ate too much!

what was the water temp?
the tail doesn't look like it has any wear from bedding.
our temps. have been all over the place.seems to be holding over 50*
at night tho. we still have spawning going on here.

Thanks Mad! Water temps are high. Felt like the high 60's to maybe even 70. She doesn't look spawned out for sure. Sure is fat though!

Wow great catches. I don't know how you lake guys manage to do so well. I've fished ocean for years and have now switched over to lakes and can't get jack for the life of me. I work in newport beach and can usually sneak out of the office early so i'm going to have to find a nice little local pond and just keep trying because it's clear the fish are there.
