Hit lake Gregory for their annual trout derby and it was pretty much a stinker dinker fest. Nothing over two pounds.  Small fish is better than no fish. 30+ fish where caught and released safely using barbless jig heads. All trout fell on Trout King jigs. It was good seeing some of you guys out there and it was cool finally meeting you Jeff. I hope you guys enjoy the dinker show. Oh by the way 1st place walked away with $3,000.00 with a 18 inch long trout 2nd place walked away with $1,500.00 with a 17 inch long trout and 3rd place walked away with $500.00 with a 16 1/2 inch long trout. The longest trout we had where 16 1/4 and a lot of 16 and 15 inch long trout, there is always next year.  Tight Lines

Good to see you posting again Chris.
Great video and it looks like it was pretty nice up there. The grand finally was the hand grab, to cool.

Thanks for sharing.

I didn't realize that there were so many nice bass in that lake. I've seen several photos on "Fishbrain". I may have to go up and check it out!

Oh man if there are some nice bass in there. I went back on Monday and there was a school of them following this 5 to 6 pounder for some good lovin Red Smile I was pitching a few 3 inch worms at them and a few hits here and there but all I was working with was 2lb test so I left them alone. I am thinking of going back out there in search of some bigger trout or even some LMB in the next week or so.
