Hey guys,

So I noticed the foam block material for my Outcast seems to rip at the corners pretty easily - I'd say the foam more so "sheds" than rips and particularly at the edges/corners. Have any of you noticed this? And what, if anything, have you done to mitigate it? I wonder if duct tape or some other kind of waterproofing type tape along the edges/corners would help here.

Suggestions?

Maybe some pics?

I have not heard of this issue with Outcast before.

Are you taking them out to clean them often?

Because I think they are just a little beat up from sliding in and out.

I haven't even used the float tube yet lol - I slid the cushions in and pulled them out probably two times each when inflating to check it out. The previous owner says he only used the float tube one or two times - I do believe him because it looks very new. Would it be worth putting strips of duct tape to reinforce the corners and edges? I wonder if that would also help make it easier to slide the foam in and out. It's really just the thicker/bulkier bottom seat foam pieces that this is happening to. The back seat piece is fine.

I have a Cumberland and I have taken the foam part way out once. The ends were a little green and I wanted to clean them up. It was such a pain that I cleaned the ends and shoved them back in and never bothered with it again.
