Have an ODC 420 for a few years. Ned to get fins and get out. Tired of looking at it in the box. Any advice is welcome. Looking to float tube Newport beach Harbor. Need gear advice.

Welcome! You'll want a PFD and probably a whistle or sounding device. Possibly booties for your feet. Sun protection (hat, buff, long-sleeves, gloves, sunscreen, etc). Waders if the water is looking colder than you'd like. Water and snacks. Try to avoid bringing too much - it's easy to do and there's not a need when you're just getting out there and figuring things out.

Welcome to the forum KogaHead,

Depending on what you want to spend get some waders and fins that fit over the waders. Important step is making sure the fins fit over the waders and shoe\boots you wear. I recomend Force Fins, if they are too pricey new ($220) you can find them on E Bay for under $100 most of the time. Just use the poles and lures you have, because that stuff is a never ending journey. Enjoy

I am sure others will chime in.

Hey Kogahead welcome you are in the right place. I agree with a comments above but just think simple what do you need to get on the water.
PFD is a must waders and fins to fit. You can do force fins but dive fins will work as well just make sure the fit when you have your waders on. The other things you will collect along the way.
So you know we have a toy drive Dec. 2nd at Newport my be a good chance for you to get on the water with other tubers and learn the ropes. Thanks for joining look forward to seeing you on the water.
