I got this the other day from a member who is building a custom rod rack for himself.  He wanted to share and I thought hey guys post your rod racks for us to see.  Maybe someone will come up with some new ideas from your design.

This was not my original idea, I actually got it from the members that were here before me, when I newly joined FTFF.
I'm on my third and final modification because it finally works the best for me.

Cat litter bucket (7lb) with a triple rod holder screwed on the outside. Sure ain’t pretty, but it works really well for me.

I still like the way these racks lay flat this one is very well made better than my old one. Having the rods flat helped in getting hung up in the backcast from time to time.

I’ve been fortunate to have seen your latest ABS rod-rack creation when we had all met up at Lake Perris for the toy drive.  An excellent DIY rod-rack system Sir!
Perhaps you are the person responsible for the creation of the rod rack design that I currently use today.

Awesome mods! Puts mine to shame... well, particularly when mine is in the water and feels like it's caving in on me! I particularly like the sliding transducer arm - that's cool. I was thinking of a good way to do it and the best I could come up with is a screw-joint coupling so I can rotate it up out of the way when not in use or when launching/beaching. But I need a better way to lock it in place.
I consider this a work-in-progress still.

I like that transducer arm I think it works well have you thought out maybe adding a small hold that would fit a pin when it is in the down location. When it is down and ready to fish insert the pin and when you want to beach you can pull the pin and move the arm again. Just my 2 cents for now.

Yes! I was wanting to get some sort of pin to hold it in place - similar to the one in the sketch. I just don't know where to find a stainless steel one in the 2" size - if you know of a source let me know. All the ones I've come across and seen at Lowes or Home Depot are zinc.

Do you have a bungee that reaches from the racks to under your tube? It should pull everything tight to the side of your tube.

I do - so I probably need to tighten that up. However, I'm using quick-links to secure the upper part to the D-rings up higher, and those quick-links don't allow for much give. I'm thinking those might be part of the cause here - I may need to revert to using a different type of connection to secure things to the side.

What makes this difficult is that I don't have a pool to test this out in... well, I suppose I could use the community pool but that might look a little strange lol!

Here are a few more that were shared to me.  I really like the glue on rod holders how simple is that when it is on.

I really like the glued on double rod holders idea!
Wow, you could make it any cleaner nor simpler than that!

Found this one on facebook today they rod rack is simple but I also kind of like the floating try on the Left side of the boat. I also remember seeing a floating rod rack years ago I will see if I can find that one.

Pretty cool! The floating tray reminds of the floating bait well idea.
