5.6 pounder Saturday at the goon. My buddy caught an 8 pounder also saw a 12 and 7 pounder caught by someone on shore nearby.

Another 5# today unfortunately no pic phone died. This 3.5-4 was caught on the new rat lure from shore while waiting in line for the lake to open. Urban hogs rat lure made by a local orange county guy. This bait has really good action. Very pleased to have caught this on only my second cast of the bait. I have no personal ties nor stakes but if I'm happy with something I'm going to share and highly recommend this over the $180 Johnny rat which I liked until using this one. Great addition for any largemouth fisherman. Bass hammer the rat baits.

I was thinking of adding a top water mouse/rat bait but there are too many of them with the high$$$$$ cost.

I only paid $60 for this one. The spro rat is $30 I believe and I've heard it works well. This one is made by Urban hogs. You can find them on eBay in various colors. $60 if it catches solid fish is going to save a lot of money on plastics I'd otherwise be throwing in those areas.

I should add it is a very exciting bait to use. I could see the wake of the bass coming in from 20 feet away and then when they hit the rats they explode on them. Rats have teeth and claws so bass try to kill them on the first contact. Better than a frog blow up this son of a *&@#* darn near did a backflip
