Catch of the Month for June 2019

It's that time again!

Catch of the Month for June 2019 goes to SP Dan for his PB Halibut. This toothy flat fish was landed on the tube at 37 inches and an estimated 22.5 pounds. I am not sure how many of us would have kicked to the shore to land that monster, but that would have been my first plan.

Congrats SpDan! I wouldnt be surprised to see that hali win catch of the year! We all have our challenge ahead of us on this tournament.

Thanx for chiming in Brotha! 
That Halibut's jaw bone was so BIG that my 15-lb Boga-Grip would hardly fit over it’s jaw bone and I experienced too many missed attempts at getting a grip on it's jaw because the grip wasn't deep enough!

So last night I went online; with Amazon, and I purchased a new Boga-Grip rated with a 30-lbs scale and a larger-deeper grip area, in preparation of my next (37.5"+ PB) larger halibut!  Coming soon folk's!

I'm going to sell this one, so please watch for my classified add!

I’ve ordered the next larger Boga-Grip ... and my fingers are crossed for calm evening winds. I hope to find another model again the same size or even larger!
