Launched at Ocean Blvd. 54th Place beach this time. Shortly after take off something powerful grabbed the trolled “ring worm swim bait”. Peeled lots of line. I hoped for a legal Hali but it turned out to be a big Ray. Wingspan about 3 foot. I cut the line as soon as I caught sight of that long tail. Has anyone ever been stung by a ray? Can that stinger penetrate a float tube?
Kicked to obvious spottie areas (moored boats) and caught these guys. The big one appears to tape out at about 16”.
As you can see I had some line issues.
Got a call and had to bail at 9am. Short but fun...

You found some nice size fish this outing. I would think those Barb's would easily puncture the tube, but I would be more worried about my legs.

Thanks for sharing
