I’ve fished down in Mission Bay a few times and so I have collected a few good fishing spots to hit if you’d be interested in joining me, but it’s also cool and I’d totally understand if you would rather fish solo in the Tournament.

It would just be great to have a face down there that I recognized.

With you being down there fishing in the tournament, it means that I’m going to have to turn up my “A” game a bit because I’ve seen you fish Sir!!!
I wouldn’t be surprised if you won the tournament in our division!

It was explained to me by JoJo that Hookup Bait will be limiting the number of sign-ups for the tournament due to the amount of T-shirts that they will have to come up with.
So if you’re interested, try to sign up sooner rather than later before the cut-off!

If any of you do plan to sign up for the tournament, we can all meet at Dana Landing in Mission Bay and then we can takeoff from there together.

Good luck. Hopefully I can make it but it all depends on work and this shoulder thing. Go out there and show them the FTFF is always on them.

So ... it looks as though I'll be the only angler; from our FTFF group of float tubers that is willing to have some great fun fishing against new anglers in their own home waters while accepting the HUB Tournament challenge in Mission Bay SD this Oct 5th.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm totally prepared and ready to put all of my knowledge, abilities and skills up against any float tube fisherman that SD County has to offer up.

I'll bring the assault to them in their own home trenches ... no sweat.

HOOKUP Bait held it's 2nd Annual Tournament in Mission Bay, San Diego and I was dawg-gon happy to have been a part of it!

The event was a well organized event!

The Post Tournament- Winners prizes, and raffle drawings with lots of fantastic give aways + an all that you can eat BBQ w/ Brats & dogs, Sauerkraut, sauteed bell-peppers, grilled onions along w/ potato salad, chips, all sorts of ice cold drinks (including beer) and desert included.

GT was the 1st of the three FTFF members to arrive, followed by myself and Enrique.
It was fun to share an area that I've fished with a couple of good friends!

How are you doing Jerdon!

I stuck to my pre-game plan and I approached each of my (3) three AO’s as I said I would.

I don’t wanna speak for the other two feller’s (GT & Enrique) but I personally had a blast competing in the tournament and I enjoyed the feeling of fishing in semi-familiar waters that only helped to heightened my competitive nature and personally forcing me step-up to the challenge at hand.

I brought all my skills and determination to their home trenches, I hope that I gave their locals a good run for their money.
Next year, I’ll give it a stronger showing, for I already have a new strategy built into the back-of-my-mind after walking from this Tournament and such a fantastic experience.
